About Julia

Julia Starrett was born in a small cottage hospital near Lake Victoria in Western Kenya. In her childhood she was fortunate to live and  travel to some of the worlds most extraordinary places. In 2003 she received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in Photography from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She started working as a lighting assistant to editorial, fashion, and still life photographers before launching her own work. In 2010 with her husband she moved to Montana where they establish a boutique photography and creative agency, Starrett Artists.
